Promoting broad access to farming jobs for young people
Since 2005, the Foundation has endeavored to support young people in rural areas by providing them with qualifications suited to the specific needs of the labor market. Training in agriculture was implemented as part of an effort to support sectoral strategies. The first agricultural training center established to this effect by the Foundation is that of Sidi Bibi Center, opened in 2007 in the Souss Massa Draa region. Three other centers have since been launched: in Moulay Yaacoub and El Hajeb in 2009, and Bouknadel in 2012.
Helping young people achieve local economic integration
The Center mainly targets children of local low-income farmers and out-of-school youth. It offers them training in the fields of animal husbandry, dairy and cheese production, market gardening and production of tree seedlings. Through this apprenticeship, the Center enables young people to access the local market and improve the profitability of small family farms in the region.
Supporting the sector through support for farming cooperatives
In addition to training young people, the Center plays a vital role in developing and promoting the regional agricultural sector. It provides various cooperatives in the region with ongoing training, assisting in their growth. It also supports manual and skilled workers in farm management.
